More and more private cars are filling roads in urban areas across the globe. They cause traffic jams, expensive delays, accidents, pollution and endless need for investments for the road network and parking.
Traditional public and private transport services have not been able to stop this trend, because they are not able to match the comfort of the private car. Taxis can provide comparable level of quality, but are suffering from low level of use of vehicle fleet.
A remedy is about to emerge. Ajelo has developed a pioneering Ajelo Solution for the above mentioned urban transportation problem: a software product and a transport concept which enables new kind of urban travel services for demand responsive transport.

Ajelo Solution calculates vehicle routes in real-time, enabling maximum vehicle utility rates, short travel times and last minute trip ordering. Unlike existing solutions, Ajelo Solution is dynamic and fully automated.

About us
Ajelo Ltd. is a privately owned company, founded in 2010 as a spin-off of research at Aalto University, Department of Computer Science and Engineering. In the same year, Ajelo concept was awarded with the winning prize of the Intelligent Society, Innovation Cup launched by VTT and Aalto University.
Our software product will roll out by the end of 2012, when Ajelo, Aalto University, Helsinki Region Transport, and The Finnish Transport Agency will start running the demand responsive transport service at Helsinki metropolitan area.
What next? There are 500 global metropolises in the World. Annually over 600 billion trips are made in those areas alone. We are actively looking for pioneers like us, around the globe, to start up a revolution in transport.
